GUILO GUILO, japanese restaurant, Paris

Hidden in the middle of the small streets of Montmartre, near the Sacré Coeur, you will find this very particular restaurant. If you like the Japanese kitchen and culture you absolutely need to discover this wonderful place.

Here you will discover ‘real’ Japanese kitchen, not sushis or noodles, but a unique menu of 9 little dishes of extreme sophistication. All is prepared in front of you by the Kyoto chef Eiichi Edakuni and his very kind crew. The menu is changing every month and created around associations of flavors and surprising textures, using mostly authentic products from Japan.

Those wonderful delicacies are presented on traditional Japanese tableware which is beautifully underlining their sophistication. Of course you will have to eat with chopsticks!

And to top it off, you will find an excellent selection of sake, served in huge wine glasses, reminding you that you are in France.

You will be seated either at the counter around the kitchen, the teppanyaki style, or in one of the two private salons in the back of the place. The counter is to be preferred because you will be able to assist to the preparation of the dishes, a performance you shouldn’t miss.

Between Japan and Paris, you will have a wonderful time far away from the usual restaurant experience!
